Björk shared this bizarrely beautiful video “Loss” from her 2017 album Utopia.
Following the release of her last video for the track “Tabula Rasa“.
The video features Björks face morphing into various shapes and forms of otherworldly creatures.
There is something inexplicably magical about Björk.
Each time I listen to her music or watch a video, I feel like I’m drawn into a different dimension that exists far beyond the mundane reality.
Most describe the visuals in the video as shell-fish and deep-sea plants and creatures.
However, I suppose that it is best left to the viewer’s imagination what to make of them.
The best way to describe the video for me would be freakishly beautiful.
The video was created and directed by renowned artist Tobias Gremmler, who also directed the previous video for Tabula Rasa.
Featuring Björk’s face along with floral, fairy-like elements of Utopia make it enchanting to look at.
Describing the video as being focused around a conversation between “inner optimist & pessimist”.
She recommends listening to the track on your headphones as the music will match the imagery/visual.
Further stating that “when I first recorded this track I tried to sing in a deeper for one of them in the left speaker and a higher optimist one in the right.
Commenting on the video, Björk says:
No one captures digital sensuality like Tobias Gremmler, elegant and expressive!!– Björk
